In addition to a day school, ISM runs a boarding program for kids whose parents’ jobs require them to live in an isolated area of Tanzania (or East Africa) without access to an English-speaking school or, they have to travel. Half of Anders’ class are borders which has prompted both kids to think about what it would be like to live away from their parents while attending school. At this point in time, both vote for staying with us. Check back during high school.
Because of the boarding component, an additional layer of staff and services are necessary to support the students who live on campus. These are the kinds of activities that typically take place “behind the scenes”. I had the privilege of taking more yearbook photos of the crews who run the kitchen, do the laundry, maintain the grounds, and fix anything that’s broken. I present to you, the unsung heroes of ISM.

Hats off to the people who keep things humming!

Wonderful pictures – and I really enjoy reading your blog. Has the Ridgefield-people arrived safely? It must have been a very hard trip for Lili.
